Help the Bowie Family Lay Their Loving Father to Rest

Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of Lambert (Bo) Bowie, a loving husband, father, and friend who fought harder than anyone could imagine. After months of battling life-threatening complications, his body succumbed to mortality — but his strength, love, and spirit will forever live on in the people who loved him most.

Back in May, Bo suffered a heart attack no one even knew had happened. Doctors performed open-heart surgery, attempting five bypasses, but his arteries were so damaged that they were only satisfied two and a half. He pushed through recovery at home, determined to heal. But on September 11th, everything changed again when he was life-flighted to Salt Lake City with stroke symptoms.

From that moment, it became a heartbreaking rollercoaster of surgeries, complications, and impossible choices. Doctors performed multiple brain surgeries to restore blood flow, remove clots, and attempt to save his life. Despite their efforts — and Bo’s incredible willpower — his arteries were simply too fragile. In the weeks that followed, more clots appeared in his legs, lungs, and heart. His body endured so much, yet he never stopped fighting.

Through all of this, his family stood by his side every single day. This family has already faced more than most — years ago, Bo’s daughter bravely beat cancer as a teenager, and the financial and emotional toll of that fight has lingered ever since. Now, they’re facing yet another devastating loss and the crushing weight of funeral costs on top of long-standing medical debt.

We’re asking for help to ease that burden, even in the tiniest way we possibly can.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward funeral expenses and helping this family find some peace in the midst of heartbreak.

If you knew Bo, you know he was a man who gave everything he could for his family. Bo and his wife, Amy, have diligently and selflessly served the community. They’ve spent their lives giving love and hope to others — even when their own hearts were breaking.
