Hello, Everyone—

Lasan is a special coach who knows how to bring the best out of our children, and now he needs our help. I am starting this fundraiser for Lasan, so he has the means to continue to pay for his medical expenses and other expenses related to his health issues.

As many of you might know, Lasan was hospitalized last summer and underwent multiple surgeries. A summer gofundme page helped pay for his medical bills, which included a lengthy hospitalization. After running into him and getting an update from him on his health, it’s clear to me that Lasan still needs our support as he continues to receive weekly medical evaluations and treatment for his ongoing medical conditions.

Here is an update: While Lasan has recovered from his surgeries, he is still struggling with multiple medical conditions. Lasan has allowed me to share that he has been diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis and dermatomyositis. On bad days, these diseases limit some of Lasan’s physical abilities including walking. Lasan still has weekly visits to his doctor to monitor these diseases. He is also having regular brain scans, so doctors can monitor two brain tumors that were found in the summer. These tumors were found to be benign but require regular monitoring.
