Please help the Abu Samaha Family

I am Jeremy Hickey, a doctor from Western Australia. I have spent 2 months of 2024 in Gaza to provide medical aid to victims of the occupation in Gaza. I met many wonderful people during that time and I hope that this story and the fundraiser will inspire others to donate to those in need...

Moad, Randaa and the rest of the Abu Samaha family are trying their best to survive the horrors unfolding in Gaza.... Let alone trying to piece their lives back together.

The family has 14 members, including 4 children, and the struggles they face on a daily basis are beyond comprehension. After 18 months of destruction, displacement, food insecurity and fighting to survive, the people of Gaza need help from the people of the world more than ever.

The cost of basic clothing, food items, drinkable water and transport (to name a few) are skyrocketing as aid delivery (including, food, shelter, medical) has all but ground to a halt. The spike in illness and deaths in the winter months due to extreme cold conditions and lack of clothing and shelter is just one example of the real life consequences of this occupation.

The Abu Samaha family, like many others, have shown incredible strength and resolve, as well as steadfastness and dedication to their faith and their people. Randaa, a young lady with her whole life ahead of her, spent many months volunteering as an Anaesthesia Technician at the Shuhada Al Aqsa Hospital in Dier al Balah, with no compensation but the hope that God and her people would be accepting of her desire to support those less fortunate and in need.
