Please help Terry mavroudis get back to normal living

Hi everyone,

My name is Terry Mavroudis, and I’m reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your support during the most difficult time of my life.

In 2009, my health took a drastic turn. I began experiencing uncontrollable seizures, constant shaking, and intense burning sensations throughout my body. I also lost the ability to have normal bowel movements and gained nearly 200 lbs. On top of this, I developed severe gum disease and eventually lost most of my teeth.

As my condition worsened, I lost my job, my independence, and eventually all of my belongings. I had no choice but to move back in with my parents and go on welfare. Despite seeing countless doctors here in Montreal, none could offer a solution. I was repeatedly told there was nothing they could do — except prescribe antidepressants and other pills.

At one of my lowest points, I attempted to take my own life. When I survived, I felt devastated — I couldn’t see a future for myself. Every day since has been a battle: physically, mentally, and emotionally.

But now, after 15 long years of suffering, I’ve found a glimmer of hope. There are doctors and treatments that may finally help me heal. I’m trying to raise funds for three critical medical procedures:

1. Stem cell therapy in Thailand – to help reduce seizures, shaking, and nerve pain.

2. Anoplasty surgery in Toronto – to restore proper bowel function and relieve daily discomfort.

3. Full dental reconstruction – to repair my teeth and gums, which affect both my health and self-esteem.

It’s hard to put into words just how much this illness has taken from me. I haven’t been able to live a normal life in 15 years. I miss my friends, I miss my family, I miss being active I miss training — and I miss simply feeling human.

The funds raised will go directly toward these medical treatments, travel expenses, and recovery costs. Every donation — no matter the size — makes a meaningful difference. And if you’re unable to donate, even sharing this campaign would mean the world to me.
