Please help Teresa create her debut album!

Teresa Jordan here, and I cannot thank you enough for taking time from your day to read through my story and consider being a part of this journey to an album with me!

Most of you already know this, but just in case you are new to me, here is a super short bio. I’ve been singing since before I can remember. I went to SOU for a degree in music (didn’t get it by the way). But I did get married to my best friend, and we are going 20 years strong! We have two amazing daughters, with whom I’ve been deeply blessed to homeschool. I’ve been a worship leader and director for about 20 years. I am now an Escrow Assistant for Ticor Title. And I have a terrible addiction to Mario Kart.

I’m an Independent singer/songwriter, in the genre of Americano-Pop (think Coldplay and Sarah McLaughlin). I write songs on a deeply personal level, with the intent of making connections through shared life experiences.

I have spent years dreaming of cutting an album, not ever knowing how it would happen. But back in February, I had the immense honor of working with 5 time Grammy nominated producer Billy Smiley out of Nashville TN. Check out The Castle Recording Studio (aka Al Capone’s old summer house). There I was able to spend 10 unforgettable days singing, playing piano, creating, and recording/tracking vocals and simple instrumentation to my songs.

Now it’s time for me to head back to the Castle and finish what we started. I’m going back to Nashville this coming August 17th-28th. And this is where you come in. Being an Independent artist is a blessing. I have freedom and control over the music I create and I get to choose what I desire to do with it. But on the other side of that lovely coin, is that I am self-funded. My husband and I both work full time jobs, and Joshua (hubby) takes side work as well to help with my on-going musical adventures.

Please know, this is difficult and humbling for us to ask for help. I do not take it lightly, how hard each one of you works to earn an income. Which is why I said in my Facebook and Instagram posts that I was going to be transparent with you all. So now I will pull back the curtain and reveal the breakdown of my costs.

*To fully produce a 10 song album is $40,000.00 +

*Each song will cost roughly $3,825.00 to track and produce. Billy hires some of Nashville’s top vocalists and instrumentalists to sing and play on each song. Then he and his team will studio edit, mix, and master all 10 songs.

*Videography for 2-3 songs will cost $1,750.00.

*Photography for Album cover, EPK, website, advertising and social media posting. - I’ve already hired Light & Shadow Photography by Emily Ames. She is a local gem in Southern Oregon!

*Flights, hotel, car rental, etc.

I didn’t reveal the costs for the last two categories because Joshua and I are not wanting you all to fully fund every part of this album.

So that’s it. That is my abbreviated story and why we are trying to raise $20,000.
