Hi, my name is Ann, and I am mum to a 4-year-old Beagle rescue girl. She started to become unwell with a large bulging disk in her neck and had to have quite risky emergency surgery to remove the calcification that was causing her to become unable to walk. The vet Craig at Cedar Grove in Belfast had to go in under her neck and drill through a vertebra to reach the lump. Tankie has been through just under 2 months of previous investigations and a lot of strong medication before being referred for a CT scan as she was becoming very unwell. She has come through surgery and will now spend the next two weeks in the vet practice being rehabilitated. I have insurance, but it won't be enough to cover the £5000 or so bill, as quite a lot has already been paid out from my allowance. Tank provides me with much-needed company and gives my life purpose looking after her. If you can help, no matter how small, we will be very grateful for anything at all. Thank you. #beagle #gofundme #vetbills #rescue . UPDATE .. Tanks back legs are working very well just not her front legs yet .. she has started eating a small amount while recieving a more intesnsive physio. She will be tried on all fours soon and they will try to get her up and about. Tank is being cared for 24/7 she is not on her own.
UPDATE 20 Oct Tank is eating well she has had help to go to the toilet but is still unable to get up on her front legs.
