Please Help Fr. Abraham Take Me to School

We can help - Take them to School! Who remembers Fr. Abraham George, a missionary priest from India? Father spent 19 years in several parishes in the Archdiocese of New York. While serving here, he finished his Masters in Counseling and PhD in Religious Education from Fordham University, New York. He is now actively engaged in Educational and Evangelization work among the tribal population in a rural village (Umlapher, Karabi Anglong District) in the State of Assam, Northeast India. This place was particularly chosen due to the underdeveloped situation of the people. Due to border issues between two States, the people living in this area are totally neglected by both governments. A good number of Catholics are the victims. As a result, they lack basic facilities, education and job opportunities. Most children are not attending school due to lack of transportation and financial struggles. Education is the key to uplift this population and brighten their future. Fr. Abraham is trying to raise money for a good school building, qualified teachers and proper management to provide the best Catholic education for the coming generations. In a poor village, it is hard to get money from local people living in near poverty. For that reason this GoFundMe was created. We are approaching all generous hearts to support this noble cause with a donation of any size or just a prayer for success. The project needs around $50K to build a school for the children and thereby open up LKG, UKG classes by April 2022. Let us join together and give the children a school.
