*UPDATE*

it is with the heaviest of hearts that I let you all know Pepper has passed away. While being held by her Momma and Poppa, she crossed the rainbow bridge.

thank you to everyone who donated and helped ease their financial load a little. The money will be put towards the vet bill and bringing pepper back home.

My name is Jill and I am fundraising for my good friends and their little furbaby, Pepper.

I was sent this message from my friends today explaining the last couple days and where they are at right now. I know it's coming up to Christmas and people might not have much money to spare, but anything helps tremendously. $1 can go a long way and every penny you can spare will truly be appreciated and help poor little Pepper!

The situation:

"Peps fell down Sat night. We thought it was like pins and needles from sleeping. Or a seizure. We kept an eye on her all Sat. She was very lethargic and not eating at all. Otherwise, walking, if slowly, pooping and chill.

Fast forward to yesterday, she ate ZERO food, drank tons of water, but lethargic as hell. We took her to vet and just before getting there, she peed blood. Then, we knew trouble was evident or a serious problem.

Got her there her there, she was barely moving, awake but out of it.

Spent 900.00 for immediate tests.

It revealed she likely had I.M.H.A. a potentially life threatening autoimmune kind of anemia, but they didn't know exactly why. That is going to cost upwards of 9000.00 to find out at a hospital in Mississauga.

I know that sounds insane, and it is, but she's our baby, so we gave the green light.

Now she's getting testing just to see what's up.

Then, we'd potentially have lifesaving/maintaining treatment thereafter to keep her alive. She's not in pain, but fatigued as hell and needing support."

As a Momma of a fur baby, I know I would do absolutely whatever I could to get my baby back to good health. They are no different.
