#Zachary Branly Road to Recovery #protect.your.pack

Today is Mother's Day, and I'm very grateful to still have all 3 of my boys here. On March 26th, 2024,
I almost lost my "baby." Zachary was on his motorcycle to meet up with friends. Just an hour earlier, he was donating plasma. All Zachary wanted was to hang out with friends that night and live Life. This came to an abrupt halt when an illegal immigrant with no license made the decision to drive someone else's car who has No insurance. While driving fast, the guy suddenly crossed lanes to make an exit he was going to miss. My son was hit by that guy's car, running him over, tossing him up in the air, throwing him down the road about 1000 FEET where he landed, by the Grace of God, on a patch of grass. That person continued to drive away, leaving Zachary there! We are thankful that so many wonderful people stopped to help and a dedicated officer on his way to work, saw the accident unfold and went after the driver. I know the choices of all of those who rendered immediate help, giving encouragement to Zach, kept him going as they waited for the paramedics to arrive on scene. THANK Y'ALL SO MUCH!
Zachary has sustained many injuries from that senseless accident. Injuries including brain injury, multiple facial fractures, nasal and orbital, and displaced mandible. Initial impact caused severe lung contusions, which required bilateral chest tubes and ventilator support to help him breathe. Later, a tracheostomy and feeding tube have been needed to assure a safe airway and nutrition. Zach still has a broken clavicle, scapula and fibula which are healing slowly on their own. After 7 surgeries, 6 plus weeks in trauma ICU, he finally made it to Rehab, thank God! Zachary is a TRUE MIRACLE! There is a beautiful little girl and sweet puppy who really miss their Daddy, so I humbly ask on his behalf for prayers along with any donation that will help during this long recovery process. I am an RN and his advocate, so I have not been able to work at all during this entire time. FMLA doesn't give you a paycheck, only the assurance you will keep your job. Your generosity would be used towards mounting medical bills, travel costs to be able to assist him, and pet sitting fees. All of these would not be necessary except for the negligence of another person. I am asking for donations to be able to keep doing what is necessary for Zachary to have a complete and successful recovery. We miss him at home. Thank you for anything you can do. God bless!
