My heart is breaking as I write this, but I’m asking for help because I don’t have another option.

This is Willow. She’s 11 years old and she’s not just my dog — she’s my baby, my constant, my comfort on the hardest days. She’s been with me through so many chapters of my life, loving me unconditionally in the quiet, steady way only dogs can.

Willow has also been a protector and a companion to my little girl, who is six years old. She has watched over my daughter since before she was even born — lying beside my belly, standing guard by her crib, and growing alongside her as her quiet shadow. To us, Willow isn’t just a pet — she’s family, a source of safety, comfort, and unconditional love.

Today, Willow was involved in a very bad fight and is now facing an emergency veterinary situation. The injuries are serious, and she needs immediate care. She is currently being treated at East Mountain Veterinary Services in Edgewood, New Mexico. The cost of emergency treatment, diagnostics, and follow-up care is more than I can manage on my own, and I’m terrified of being unable to give her what she needs simply because of money.

I never imagined I’d be in a position where finances could stand between my dog and medical care. Asking for help like this is incredibly hard for me, but Willow is worth swallowing my pride for. She is in pain, she is scared, and she needs help now.
