Dear friends, family, and kind- hearted strangers,

I’m writing this with a heavy heart to ask for your help. My dog Thor, who has been by my side through thick and thin, is facing serious health issues that have required urgent medical attention. Recently, Thor was diagnosed with pneumonia, gastroenteritis, pancreatitis and megaesophagus. He is really struggling. It is heartbreaking to see him so unwell. Over the last week, Thor has required multiple diagnostic tests including X-rays, and bloodwork, overnight hospitalization, multiple medications and new food. He has been to his regular vet and emergency multiple times, and we need to go again as he is still struggling. He hasn’t eaten for 5 days, and has now started vomiting after taking his medications.

I am doing everything I can to help Thor recover. I do have pet insurance for Thor, but unfortunately it doesn’t cover the full cost of his care, and I’ve been responsible for 100% of the expenses upfront. If you’re able to contribute to Thor’s medical expenses, it would mean the world to me. I have taken multiple days off of work, taken many Uber rides with him (I don’t drive or have a car), and everything is adding up really quickly. Every donation will go directly toward his treatment, and I’ll keep you all updated on his progress.

Thor is more than just a pet; he’s my best friend, my constant companion, and an irreplaceable part of my life. He is so special to me. He brightens my day, and all others who he interacts with.

Some background about Thor and I for those who don’t know us:

Thor is a 6.5 year old Labrador/ Rottweiler. I have had him since he was a puppy. He has been with me through my own major health challenges, and significant life events that he supported me through by just being by my side! I love him with all my heart. He loves going on walks, dog park visits, and even enjoys going to daycare and boarding. He loves other dogs. He loves people so incredibly much! He is such a good, gentle, patient, loving boy. He also loves long naps, and doesn't like to get out of bed in the morning.
