On October 7th, our dear friend and colleague Thomas Dulvido—a valued member of the Point Pleasant Resort team for over 17 years—was struck in a devastating hit-and-run accident just a few yards from the property.

Thomas has been an essential part of our resort family for nearly two decades. His kindness, work ethic, and steady presence have touched every one of us—staff, guests, and owners alike. Whether lending a hand without hesitation or greeting others with his signature smile, Thomas embodies the spirit of genuine Caribbean hospitality that defines Point Pleasant.

Sadly, the accident left him with severe injuries, including multiple fractured ribs, two broken legs, a chest tube, and a traumatic brain injury. The local hospital on St. Thomas was not equipped to manage the extent of his injuries, and arrangements were made to have Thomas airlifted to a trauma center in Florida for specialized care.

As Thomas begins what will be a long and difficult recovery, we are reaching out to our extended Point Pleasant family, owners, and friends—to help support him through this unimaginable time.

Funds raised will go directly toward costs not covered by insurance:

Emergency medical and trauma care expenses

Airlift and transport costs

Rehabilitation and recovery support

Assistance with living expenses while he is unable to work

Thomas has given so much of himself to this community. Now, it’s our turn to give back. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference in his recovery and help him focus on healing.
