Support for Ozzie Rogers’ Family

Hi everyone. I have set up this page to try and raise some money for a very special family from Magherfelt - The Rogers Family. I met Ozzie, along with his amazing parents Miranda and Simon and little brother Luke, when my daughter Evie was receiving treatment for cancer. Unfortunately I know too well the impact that childhood cancer has on a family, not only physically, emotionally and mentally, but financially too. At a time where parents need to devote themselves to their child, they don’t need the added stress of money and bills. So I’m hoping you would be willing to help this lovely family out because they have been through an incredibly tough couple of years.

Back in October 2018 Ozzie, who was 15 at the time, was diagnosed with AML (acute myeloid leukaemia). He went through gruelling chemotherapy and suffered fever after fever. His journey was not one bit smooth and he spent a lot of time in hospital.

In March 2019, Ozzie underwent a bone marrow transplant in Bristol. Following his bone marrow transplant he was doing well and even met Metallica in Munich.

In April 2020, unfortunately Ozzie received the news that he had relapsed. The AML is back and he is now receiving treatment again. This of course has all happened right in the middle of COVID-19, meaning things are even more complicated.

I would really appreciate it if you could spare a few pounds for this beautiful family, to help cover travel costs, little luxuries, food and bills. 2020 was supposed to be their year and I just can’t begin to explain how unfair this is. Every penny raised will go to the Rogers family.
