The hardest part about being a parent is watching your child go through something really tough and not being able to fix it for them. Our dearest friend Lynn has gone through some of the hardest times as a mom, watching her now 13 year old son struggle immensely his whole life. Matthew was born with a congenital heart defect that has caused him a vast amount of health problems ever since. With his very first heart surgery at only 6 days old, Matthew continued to have several more surgeries along with countless other procedures throughout his short life. As we all know, medical expenses are tremendous. Matthew’s family does absolutely everything necessary for his care and unfortunately that requires a lot of time off from work, unexpected expenses, travel, food…the list goes on and on. Now, Matthew is facing an even more unimaginable health issue and his family needs our help! This family has done so much for others and it absolutely kills us that they are going through this.
