Please help support the Locke family

My name is Kristen and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a very special family. Jim was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2019 . My cousin Leslie and his children, Evan and Alex have been the driving force in his strength and determination to try to beat this. He has fought extremely hard but tragically and unexpectedly he has recently been placed on hospice and will succumb to this terrible disease. We are all absolutely devastated.

Jim first came into our lives in 1991 when my cousin Leslie first met Jim, and they were married on October 26th 1996. My sister and I were honored to be in their wedding, and that night was incredible. Over the years we have travelled annually to North Conway when the children were younger, and in 2009 we were able to take a magical trip to Disney together which was one of our favorite vacations. Jim has hosted us at his home every year the day after Thanksgiving and many other occasions making his deliciously famous macaroni and cheese or serving up an unbelievable spread of food. His laugh and smile are contagious, and people love being around his positive energy.

Jim is one of the best humans that I know. He has always been there - supporting anyone in need, so generous and thoughtful. He is also one of the best fathers that I know. Watching him raise Evan and Alex has been a privilege and an inspiration. My husband Shawn and I have frequently discussed "what would Jim do" while raising our 3 children. He has dedicated his life to his family, working extremely hard but also taking the time to vacation in Disney with them, his favorite place. His other love is softball, he has had many years playing with the same team. His competitiveness has not been lost on the children. Alex played softball up until senior year and Evan played baseball up until his senior year in 2018. Jim was able to go to Alex's high school graduation this past June, and he is so proud that she is going to be starting at Salem State in a few weeks studying graphic design, she is an extremely talented artist. Evan is a super smart engineering student at Dayton University. We are all so proud of what these kids have accomplished.

I would like to help ensure that their family has the resources to help ease the financial burden during this difficult time. Thank you for your consideration.
