Please help support the family of Peter Helms.

Hi, my name is Amanda, and I would not be organizing this if I didn’t think the Helms family was not in dire need of financial help from family and friends.

My friend Wendy’s husband, Pete Helms was first hospitalized battling esophageal cancer in 9/2021.

He became too ill to work 11/22.

While out on medical leave he lost his job. In that same month, Pete had treatment for his cancer.

Unfortunately, he lost his medical insurance and his team of doctors and specialists. Having a lapse in medical care & treatment definitely hurt his chances.

He was hospitalized December 26, 2022 with pneumonia. His oxygenation levels were so low they needed to intubate him from the start.

He was in the ICU on a ventilator, and had shown signs of improvement just one week ago, but took a turn for the worse and was quickly in multi-organ failure.

Unfortunately, Pete did not make it… and passed away January 17th, with his beloved wife Wendy and their three children by his side.

Due to Pete’s health issues, loss of income, and his rather sudden passing, Pete’s wife Wendy and her family are in serious need of financial help. Wendy currently has children living in the home and needs help keeping the roof over their heads and food in their bellies. Wendy is completely distraught and overcome with grief right now. It’s a huge worry for her not knowing how she’s going to keep everything afloat without Pete.

Wendy has always been the friend that is there for everyone, and now she needs our help.

Pete is survived by his wife and best friend of 25 years, Wendy Williams Helms, their three beautiful daughters Jordan, Madison and Cloudy, and their adorable pup, Mr. Moo.
