Hello, everyone!

I, Brittany (daughter of Don and Cheryl), have created this GoFundMe for my parents, who are in a very tough place in their lives right now.

Around the beginning of July, Mom began to notice that her memory was slipping a little. As the days and weeks passed, this became a frequent problem for her - forgetting words mid-sentence and even slurring speech. A CT scan and MRI were ordered, and the results showed a tumour on her brain.

Doctor's have recommended that she undergo surgery ASAP as the tumour size is very concerning.

She is currently waiting to be medi-vacced to Vancouver - this could happen at any time.

Because we will not have a definite prognosis until after the surgery has been performed, we do not know how long mom and dad will be away from home.

Because dad is the sole provider, a sub-contractor, this situation does not afford them the ability to take care of bills and other priorities at home.

I understand that this is a really hard time for all of us, but I'm hoping that we can give a little to help them feel at ease during this really stressful time. If you cannot give, I encourage you to keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this challenging time together.
