Please help support Shannon "Doobie" Foster in hospice care
Donation protected
I'm Angel Powell, and Shannon "Doobie" Foster is my first cousin. We grew up together and were the best of friends, always seeking out adventures and getting into trouble together.
Sadly, he was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a particularly horrific and cruel form of cancer, in June 2023. In June 2024 hospice care began at home, and he was moved to the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca this past Saturday. Unfortunately, his insurance will soon (within days) run out and the family won't be able to afford Hospice House on their own. Because of the care that he has required, both Doobie and his partner, Virginia, have been out of work for months.
I want to help alleviate the financial burden of the whole family at this devastating time, and I appreciate anyone who donates. Glioblastoma is an horrific disease and it has financially devastated Doobie and Virginia, and they need our help. He is a beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, cousin and partner, and he has been a friend to so many. As he ends his time on earth, he deserves to spend his last days in the nurturing environment of Hospice House, with the care that he needs. Any additional funds raised will be used for the funeral service and additional expenses to help the family. Thank you in advance for your time and donation. Angel
