Please help support Rob and Alex after the sudden loss of Jo

We are fundraising for local Brookvale father Rob and his 10-year-old son Alex, who have suffered an unimaginable loss.

On the morning of Friday 4th July, Joanna also known as Asia (pronounced Usher or Asha), Rob’s beloved wife of 18 years and Alex’s loving mother, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home. A tragic and untimely passing.

Jo’s death has left Rob and Alex heartbroken. Even before this tragedy, times were tough for the family. After Joanna’s work contract ended at the start of 2020, she struggled to find a new role during those times. With rising interest rates and only one income, the family was already stretched thin and had begun exploring the painful possibility of selling their home.

Now, in the midst of grief, Rob must also find a way to cover funeral expenses and continue to support his son, emotionally and financially.

If you knew Jo, you’ll remember her as a kind and generous person who would give her last dollar to someone in need and was always the first to offer help, comfort, or a listening ear. She loved her son Alex fiercely and alongside Rob, raised him to be thoughtful, generous, and kind, a true reflection of both his parents.

Rob is a devoted father and husband who stood by his wife Jo through every challenge life threw at them right until the end.

We are asking our community to come together to help Rob and Alex during this heartbreaking time please. Your donation will help cover Jo’s funeral expenses and provide some immediate financial relief to allow Rob space to grieve and care for his young son.

Let’s give Jo the beautiful farewell she deserves and show Rob and Alex that they are not alone in this difficult time.

Rest in peace, Joanna. You touched so many lives with your kindness. You will be deeply missed, always loved, and never forgotten.
