Renee Elder (my beautiful sister) was one of the kindest souls that you ever would have met here on earth. She was everything that you would ever want a big sister to be. No matter what was ever going on in her life, she was always there for anyone in need. It didn't matter who they were or what they looked like. If they needed a kind word, a place to stay, or the last dollar she had, she would provide.
For the last five years, Renee bravely battled a nasty disease, that was attacking her lungs, called Scleroderma. Renee never asked for anything from anyone even through all of her hospital stays while she was battling her disease. If she had not been wearing an oxygen tube, you never would have known that she was fighting this deadly disease. This is because, if she walked into a room, she lit it up with her smile. If the room was full of strangers, they all were her friends by the time she left. Sadly, Renee left this earth on March 4th 2021. There is no question in my mind that her beautiful soul will watch over us for the rest of our lives.
This fundraiser for Renee is to help with her memorial service costs. Her life was filled with giving to others, and this memorial is a small way that we can all give back to her. I hope that you will be a part of this tribute to my beautiful sister who now soars with the angels.
I will personally be ensuring that every penny goes toward her memorial. If there are any funds remaining, above the goal or above the final cost of the memorial service, all remaining funds will be donated to the Scleroderma Research Foundation (www.srfcure.org).
