With great sorrow, we lave lost our friend, Patrick Pierce Jr. , who passed on March 28, 2026.

Last January, Patrick, of Hartland, Vermont was diagnosed with a brain tumor which was then determined to be cancerous. Patrick submitted to treatments and seemed to be doing very well during the summer, but was then overwhelmed as he entered this winter. Throughout the entire cancer journey, Patrick has waged a selfless, brave and dignified struggle that has now reached its end.

Born in 1983, the 42 year old grew up in Pomfret and was a lifetime Vermont resident. A bit of a hellion in his early days, Patrick settled down to become a dedicated and admired family man. Patrick will be survived by his wife of 16 years, Erica (Tillotson), his 14 year old daughter Mackenzie and his 12 year old son Ethan. In addition to his family, Patrick enjoyed motorcycle riding, snowmobiling and camping with his family. An avid fisherman, Patrick and his son Ethan would regularly fill a generous stringer with trout.

Patrick easily made friends and took a sincere interest in everyone's story. He had a wry sense of humor and would add quick quips to any conversation causing smirks and laughter. Patrick was one of those selfless individuals who would do nearly anything to help nearly anyone. He was a great friend to so many and always shared or inspired a smile and laughter with everyone he met.

The Service Manager at Valley Artesian Well in Ascutney, Vermont, Patrick's knowledge and helpful demeanor earned him the respect of residents and contractors throughout the Upper Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. He was admired and appreciated by his coworkers, his work family, and will be dearly missed.

Before passing on, Patrick shared that he leaves this world with few regrets, having accomplished and enjoyed more than he ever dreamed possible in his youth. His only disappointment is not being able to care for his family as they move forward.

This fundraiser has been created to allow us all to contribute in his memory and to help sustain Patrick's family, and support Erika, Mackenzie and Ethan as they face the future without him. Please consider supporting Patrick's family during this difficult time. Any contribution will make a meaningful difference and is deeply appreciated.
