Please help support our Aunty Jen

This is Jennifer Davies, also known as “Aunty Jen”. Jennifer has been a devoted Family Child Care Provider, licensed through the Dept of Human Services, for the past 23 years. Aunty Jen has lovingly cared for over one hundred children on the Big Island of Hawaii, including two of my own grand children. She is also a wife, mom, grandma and a dear friend to many. In late 2022, Jennifer was diagnosed with breast cancer. The past year has been filled with doctor visits, chemotherapy, radiation and a major surgery. Throughout her treatment, Jennifer managed to continue her child care, because that’s what she loves to do! She’s done her best to stay positive and focus on getting well. In early September, Jen began experiencing excruciating headaches. Sadly, the cancer has spread to her brain. With this new diagnosis, Aunty Jen closed Cuddly Care. She is currently going through more chemotherapy and radiation…and doing her best to stay alive. Her medical insurance requires a 30% co-pay, which continues to create a huge financial burden, and now, she no longer has her child care income. It would be greatly appreciated if you are able to donate any amount to help ease her families’ financial stress.
