Please help support myself and my son as we face eviction

Hi, my name is Sassy Kit, and I’m reaching out for help during one of the most challenging times of my life. I am a loving, single mother and need to find a place ASAP for myself and my son or I fear we will be homeless.

Recently, I faced a series of hardships that have brought us to this difficult chapter in our lives. After a break up of a six-year relationship where i was financially dependant on my partner, I moved in with my mother to help care for her after her cancer diagnosis. Despite her past struggles with addiction and her history of abuse, I wanted to support her through her health battles.

Over the past year, I became very ill myself, and was hospitalized multiple times, which caused me to lose my job. During that time, I fell behind on bills and was unable to work. Now, I’ve recently started working again, but I still owe a substantial amount in expenses and bills that accrued while I was sick.

Today, we’re facing eviction because of increased rent and my mothers mishandling of finances due to her addiction. My goal is to raise $9,000 to cover outstanding bills, secure a safe place for my son and me, and help with moving costs and a down payment for a new home.

I am known in my community as a kind, compassionate person who always gives back. I spend alot of time volunteering, educating, and, contribute to running many orginizations within different communities. Including but not limited to LGBTQ+ groups & BIPOC organizations. I also homeschooled my son who struggles with adhd, and volunteered for the school district for many years. I am a healer in the community and often offer services for little to no cost to those who are struggling. I believe in lifting others and I’ve always been there for friends, neighbors, and those in need.

Despite my struggles, I remain hopeful and committed to creating a better future for my son and myself. Your support would not only help us find stability but also allow us to breathe and rebuild.
