Almost there!

Thanks to another donation, I'm closer to the $5000 goal. The surgery date is set for November 6. Any donation amount, no matter how small, is helpful. Importantly, I want to thank my friends and family who have already made generous donations. You will never be forgotten (at least by my anyway :) ) As some of you know, I've been battling Morton's Nueroma, a painful thickening of the tissue around the nerve leading to the toes in my right foot. The pain has led to nueropathy and other uncomfortable symptoms in my foot and lower leg. It has greatly impacted my quality of life. I've always loved outdoor activities such as running, however, during the course of the past three years my mobility has been limited and walking is become more of an effort. I've had two surgeries to remove the nueroma, but both have been unsuccessful. I currently have an opportunity to receive an innovative procedure for my troublesome neuroma by a top plastic surgeon in New York City. The procedure consists of nerve grafting and other fine tuning of the affected area including a fat graft for my foot pad which has been compromised by the first two surgeries. In fact, the initial surgeries have complicated the matter greatly. Unfortunately, because of the two failed surgeries, my insurance company is declining coverage for a third surgery. However, this procedure could be a game changer for me and provide some much needed relief. It could also allow me to get back to running some day. Mostly, I would love to be able to wear shoes again! I'm hoping that you will consider donating to the procedure. Your support will bring me closer to the dream I have of being pain free. Thank you!
