Hello, I’m Taylor Jewell. I was really nervous to make this account because I’m usually a pretty “problem-solving” type of person. Unfortunately, life has hit us with some unexpected and unfortunate life events. Or should we say life changes. I’m a mother of 3 kids, 2 sons (12 & 10), and a daughter (7). I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant also. So as you can see, we already have a lot going on lol!
My husband was diagnosed with a left frontal oligodendroglioma, Grade 2, in 2019 and had his very first surgery to remove what they could reach in Jan 2019. Well, since then he had been good. No issues at all. Come December 2024, he started having several seizures, and we got an MRI to see what was going on and unfortunately, his tumor had grown back. Same place as before. We’ve been able to subside the seizures and pain since they’ve come back, but a procedure was ideal. After waiting it out, it was time to finally put aside our fears and do it. He had his 2nd surgery last week (July 22nd, 2025). It’s left our family in complete shock. His recovery has taken a turn for the worse and he’s now needing around-the-clock home health care, speech, occupational therapy, and memory care. Not knowing when he’ll recover completely is the scariest part of all of this.
Unfortunately, I’ve been trying to balance work, kids, my husband’s health, and pregnancy all at once. It’s not been easy and my family needs me. His health insurance isn’t covering all 3 of the therapies he’s needing which is leaving me to call off to stay home and make sure he gets the care he needs. Not to mention, he was the one who stayed home with the kids when I would work. My husband was randomly doing side jobs as a handyman when his health would be on the upside, but I was doing everything I could to keep us afloat. That being said, I need some help. Bills being the biggest priority right now so I can be home with everyone is super important to me. My washer and dryer took a poop on us a week ago, so now not only are we trying to make bills, we’re going to the laundromat as well. It’s all on me and for once in my 30 years of life, I’m asking for help. So thank you in advance and if you can’t help, just say a prayer for my family, please. Right now, times are tough and God is the only one who knows what the plan is for us.
