Please help support Mauve Devesa and her family

Hello, My name is Marie Beaton, and I have only known Mauve for over two years now. Let me tell you all, she and her family have touched our family's heart in so many ways, with welcoming us into their family, her jokes and her fearlessness in calling the kettle the color it is lol. But one part that has been really tough about being her friend is watching her suffer in pain. As some of you know, she has been in excruciating pain for too long! She has a great way of hiding it, but she is crumbling from within. She has already been off work for over a year!

Unfortunately, the wait in Canada is unacceptable and is no where near in sight. The surgeons said it could be anywhere from 2-5 year wait. The local doctors here have been great and supportive of her decision to look elsewhere for help.

Mauve has researched extensively for the past year and found a surgeon who will take her on and permanently fix her. The best part is she will be pain free! She has a surgery date set for Oct 26, 2022 and with a little help from all of us we can lighten the financial load that will be incurred from this surgery and travel. The clinic that Mauve will be attending is world renowned for spinal care . We have first hand experience with them as my husband went to this clinic in January 2021 and is pain free now .

Mauves diagnosis is Grade 4 lumbar Anterolisthesis at L5-S1 + Degenerative Disc Disease + Lumbar Spinal Instability + Lumbar stenosis, Multiple Lumbar Disc Herniations + Servere Spinal Instability. After seeing her MRI scans she was told at the age of 28, her spine resembles that of a patient 3-4 decands her senior. The surgery she will recieve will be entered through the front and rear of her spine. This is a very intense and techniqual surgery that will take over 10 hours with the help of 6 sugeons. Her post care will require her to stay for 10 days in a private care facility.

Mauve is very reluctant to ask for help, as we know she is stubborn and independent. But she deserves all the help she can get from all of her friends and family.

Mauve and her family would love to grow their family. Let's give them this gift as she deserves it. Greyson would love to become a big sister.
