Please help support Matty and Sue's family after their loss

Donation protected
It is with heavy hearts that we share the unimaginable loss our family has faced.
Matthew Zaborowski passed away from injuries sustained in a car accident in September. Then, tragically, on November 5, his beloved mother, Susan, also suddenly and very unexpectedly passed away.

Their loss has left an emptiness that words cannot fill. Matthew’s fiancée, Brittany Janda, and their young son, Saylor, have had so much taken from them so suddenly. Sue and Matt will be deeply missed by their family, as well as countless friends who loved them both.

After Matthew's passing, Sue helped support Brittany and Saylor with housing and day to day finances. Sadly, to help cover payments and debts associated with owning a home, the house and assets must be sold. Brittany and Saylor will need all the help our community can provide to help them be able to provide and relocate, and help transition to a life without their loved ones.

Matty was the kind of person who gave everything he had to the people he loved. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, working long hours, maintaining the home, and making sure his family was cared for. Beyond his hard work, he was a warm, dependable, and deeply loving presence in their lives.

He was only 41 years old, a devoted father to his three-year-old son Saylor, a loving fiancé to Brittany Rose Janda, a caring son to Susan Hart, the brother who could always make Beth and Adam laugh, and the friend to so many whose lives he touched.

The car accident that ultimately took his life happened when he was performing errands to help his family. He was badly injured and treated by the great staff at UPMC Hamot over 14 days until his passing, accumulating a large sum of medical bills.

Susan was a strong mother and proud grandmother who had just spent three difficult years undergoing treatments for advanced-stage cancer.

On the eve of her passing, she had been declared cancer-free and was ready to stop the difficult treatments.
Whether from the toll her recovery took on her body or the heartbreak of losing her son, Susan passed away from a cardiac event at her home. Besides her family and friends, she loved sci-fi movies, Barbra Streisand, teapots, seahorses, and purple.

We are raising funds to help the family navigate these heartbreaking losses, cover final expenses, and provide support as they begin to heal from the pain of losing both Sue and Matt in such a short time.

This fundraiser is being created to help ease the heavy burden his family now faces. 100% of the proceeds will go directly toward supporting his little boy, his fiancée, and family as they navigate this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping them find stability and strength in the days ahead.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to honor Matty and Sue's memory and to help the family they loved so dearly.

Please consider reading the news reports from the Erie Times News for the story of Matt's collision.
