Please help support Marka Radich

My name is Melanie Jackson and we have created this fundraiser for my sister, Marka Radich.

On October 20, 2024, Marka was admitted to Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Marka had been on a cruise with her friends and enjoying a much deserved vacation. On the 4th day of the cruise, she said that she didn't feel very well. She went to the infirmary on the ship where they discovered that her blood volume had dropped. It was at this time, that the cruise ship put out an All-Call for blood donations for Marka's blood type. We will never be able to say THANK YOU enough to all of the people who unselfishly chose to give blood for our sweet sister. The units of blood that Marka received on the ship sustained and saved her until they made it to the port in New Orleans.

Once at Ochsner, Marka has continued to get blood transfusions and platelets to maintain her stability in her blood levels. She has had other procedures to determine the source of the bleeding. Marka is currently in the ICU. She is critical but stable and she is a Fighter!! The doctors, the nurses, the staff, and everyone that we have encountered have been optimistic and encouraging and we are continuing that positivity as well.

If you know Marka, as I know that all you do, she would not be the person to ask for help because she is the one that always takes care of everyone around her. With this emergent situation, we are asking for help for Marka to assist in offsetting the large financial costs that we have at this time for her. We are so thankful and appreciative of anything you can do to help. We know that Marka has been blessed by so many people and we know that she will continue to be blessed.
