Please help support Madi and her family

Madi has been sick since just before new years. The doctors originally thought it was pneumonia. We treated it multiple times and she just wasn’t getting better. After several doctor apts, urgent care visits, xrays, and testing we were told to go home.
She had her first seizure on 1/18. We rushed to the ER in Brainerd. It was determined she had blood clots. She had another seizure and we were transported to the hospital in St. Cloud, where they determined they didn’t have the resources needed and we were transferred to Children’s Hospital. Upon arrival Madi’s heart was not functioning as it should. She was struggling to breathe and it was determined she had several blood clots in her lungs and right heart vent.
She had another seizure and CPR was administered. She did not respond to it for a few minutes. A second round of CPR was required and she began breathing again.
Madison is not able to use her heart or lungs at this time and is using an ECMO machine to provide those functionings. She is sedated and will be for weeks to months. She is on a breathing tube. She is being monitored for seizure activity. She had a 4.5 hour surgery to remove several blood clots from the lungs and heart valve. We do not know the long term damage to her brain, heart , or lungs at this time.
We will be here for weeks to months.
Madison has 2 sisters, friends, family, and so many people rooting for her. She’s the strongest girl. She loves animals and sports - we’ve already been told if she recovers she will never be able to be catcher for softball anymore due to the artery lines needed to run the ecmo machine. We ask for prayers and any support you feel you can share as we navigate this new chapter in life.
All thoughts and prayers are appreciated, any financial help for my friend Amber and her family during this long journey ahead of them is APPRECIATED.
