Hello everyone,

This GoFundMe is for Lotus Jayne and her adult child, Seren Brock. They were recently in a horrible accident which has resulted in: multiple surgeries to repair vital organs and fractured spines (thankfully neither have paralysis), ongoing hospital stays, and left them without a vehicle. Lotus also sustained a broken nose, fractured eye socket, and bleeding in her skull. They are both in stable condition, but no date of release yet. They will both need rehabilitation, and possibly other items for care. Lotus and her family have lived in Nevada County for 30+ years, and have lineage here that dates back to the gold rush era. You may know Lotus as a dancer and teacher, who has taught locally at dance studios, public and charter schools, and with local dance companies. She is also an avid animal lover who works at AnimalSave in Grass Valley. Seren is a kind, caring and gentle person who works at Natural Selection.

While we don't have any idea yet what their medical bills will amount to, we know that they will be substantial. Those bills along with the cost for replacing a car (unfortunately, Lotus' vehicle was older so only had the minimum coverage) along with loss of their wages, and travel and gas money for the rest of their family to go back and forth to Sacramento to visit them really adds up.
