PLEASE HELP SUPPORT FAMILY WHO LOST HOME IN JASPER FIRE
Donation protected
Hello there,
As everyone knows the wildfires hit Jasper National Park this year resulting in 30% of the town being destroyed. Unfortunately that included the house my Uncle, Aunt & Cousin called home along with their garage.
Every summer we would go to visit Henri in Jasper. We couldn't go anywhere without atleast one person greeting him with a smile knowing who he is. He has worked at Jasper Park Lodge for 25 years along with having a huge involvement with the Jasper Fire Department. He has taught many first aid and volunteered for numerous community events. Lisa also is also an avid volunteer and part of CWL. She worked for Parks Canada for 25 years.Henri, Lisa and their Daughter Marie have always been very community driven and wear their hearts on their sleeve. Most of their free time is spent enjoying the outdoors whether it was scubadiving, hiking, cycling, kayaking or skiing. All supplies and equipment for these activities were destroyed by the fire. Lisa's parents [Joe & Francesca Calabretta] built the house in Jasper after they immigrated from Italy. Lisa has called the house home her entire life and has been the place for Henri & Lisa to raise their Daughter Marie. Marie is only 15 and our hearts hurt just thinking of the fact she has lost all her belongings and home. Losing a home to a fire is a terrible grief to carry and we are hoping that we can raise some money to help with the financial burden for our family while they restructure their lives and start from scratch. Anything is greatly appreciated to help this family that has given so much and had their worlds turned upside now. We know the economy isn't great right now and hope if you are not able to donate you can share this link. May God continue to bless you all. Thank you
