Please Help Support Dikshya Basnet Cancer Battle!

Dikshya Basnet, an inspiring young nurse originally from Nepal and currently residing in Fort Worth, Texas is facing the most challenging phase of her life, and she urgently requires our support and assistance. Dikshya has been courageously battling breast cancer since December 2022, a diagnosis that came as a devastating shock to her, her friends, and her family. Throughout her life, Dikshya had enjoyed good health and was known for her strength, bravery, and unwavering dedication to her work.

As a nurse and a student pursuing a nurse practitioner's education, Dikshya was committed to serving humanity through healthcare. She never anticipated that she would find herself in a situation where she would need help and support for her own well-being.

The ordeal began in November when Dikshya experienced symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and the discovery of a mass in her breast during a self-examination. After undergoing various tests and procedures, the heartbreaking news arrived on December 1, 2022: she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. This news left Dikshya, her close friends, and her family shattered as they grappled with the overwhelming pain of the diagnosis. Initially in denial, Dikshya eventually summoned her strength and resolved to embark on this arduous battle with cancer. In the midst of this turmoil, a glimmer of hope emerged: the cancer had not spread to her bones or lungs.

Her medical journey included chemotherapy, a unilateral mastectomy, ongoing radiation therapy, and another mastectomy planned for the future. Tragically, as she underwent treatment, Dikshya lost her job. While her friends suggested crowdfunding to alleviate her financial burden, she initially hesitated and aimed to manage on her own. However, now, she finds herself at a point where her financial resources have been depleted, and she requires a helping hand, in addition to heartfelt prayers, for her well-being.

Dikshya has already completed her chemotherapy, undergone a mastectomy, and is currently receiving radiation therapy. Yet, the road to recovery and returning to a normal life remains distant.
