Please Help Support Connie

Connie, a 77-year-old woman, has recently faced an unimaginable loss. In just one week, she lost both her beloved husband and her devoted caretaker, Max. Max had been her unwavering support since she became paralyzed over a decade ago. Thirteen years ago, Connie was diagnosed with three tumors on her back and neck. Before they could be removed, the tumors caused irreversible damage, leaving her paralyzed from the waist down. From that moment, Max dedicated his life to caring for her, ensuring she could live safely and comfortably at home.

Max’s love and devotion for Connie was so profound that when he began experiencing heart attack symptoms, he hesitated and delayed to seek medical help, burdened by the thought about who would care for her in his absence. A friend had to convince him it was ok to leave her and get to the hospital and even tho he made it to the hospital, tragically he passed away in the middle of being treated. In a single week, Connie lost the person who was her lifeline, the one who helped her navigate each day. Now, Connie is grieving while confronting a reality she cannot handle alone. She requires constant care, and although family and friends are doing their utmost, the level of care she needs is overwhelming and beyond what loved ones can provide on their own.

Beyond caregiving expenses, Connie’s home urgently needs repairs to ensure she can live safely and with dignity. This includes electrical work, heating and cooling updates, and modifications to make the space accessible for caregivers. She is also dealing with basic living expenses and the cost of Max’s cremation, with no life insurance to ease the financial burden. Loved ones of Max and Connie are reaching out with heavy hearts, seeking help during this painful and sudden transition. Every contribution, no matter how small, will help alleviate the burden Connie is facing right now. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is a meaningful way to offer support. Thank you for helping Connie feel supported and less alone during the most challenging days of her life.
