Please Help Support Cedarbrook Sportsmans Trout Nursery
Spende geschützt
Cedarbrook Sportsmans Club has been proudly and successfully raising trout for local stocking for years at the Cedarview Cooperative Trout Nursery.
However, to continue this valuable work, we are calling on our community and seeking financial support that will help us be able to pay for fish feed needed to maintain healthy trout. Purchases of quality fish food to ensure optimal growth and health are strictly out-of-pocket.
Every contribution, big or small, will go directly towards providing food for the trout and minor repairs.
With the community's help, we dedicate our time to raising beautiful and healthy trout, ensuring that future generations can enjoy the beauty and thrill of fishing in our local waters.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to support our club's efforts in keeping the trout fed and thriving.
Cedarview Cooperative Trout Nursery Information:
Located in Dorneyville, Pennsylvania, the Cedarview Cooperative Trout Nursery stands on the site
of the former well-known trout ponds.
When Lehigh County acquired the land, they cleared it of brush and discovered the remnants of the nursery. Recognizing its potential, the Cedarbrook Sportsmans Club, along with their volunteers, worked tirelessly to preserve and revive this site.
Through their efforts, the nursery continues to raise healthy trout, which are used for supplemental
stocking by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) throughout the fishing season.
This initiative not only supports local anglers but also enhances the biodiversity of local creeks. We stock several creeks with healthy trout populations. Among these are: Little Lehigh Creek, Jordan Creek, and Cedar Creek.
One of the highlights of our yearly calendar is our collaboration with Cedarbrook Nursing Care and
Rehabilitation. We organize a special trout stocking event just for the senior residents, allowing them
to enjoy a nostalgic day of fishing.
