Please Help Support Bitja’s Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, what was meant to be a peaceful and relaxing trail ride turned into a tragic accident for Bitja Garson, a seasoned horse rider and compassionate horse trainer.
While Bitja was enjoying her ride, two Border Patrol agents on their ATVs suddenly came speeding up behind her without warning. The loud engines startled her horse, causing it to panic. In the chaos, Bitja was thrown violently to the ground, suffering a catastrophic fall. As a result, Bitja suffered seven fractured vertebrae, an incredibly painful injury.
Bitja now faces a long and challenging road to recovery, involving specialized care, physical therapy, and extended time away from work. Unfortunately, because her livelihood depends entirely on her physical ability to train and ride horses, she is currently unable to earn an income. On top of this, Bitja is also the primary caregiver for her elderly father, adding even more emotional and financial strain to an already overwhelming situation.
Those who know Bitja will tell you she’s one of the most compassionate, hardworking, and honest people you’ll ever meet. She’s always been the first to lend a helping hand, never one to ask for help herself. But now, she needs our help.
This fundraiser will go directly toward:
• Medical expenses and rehabilitation costs
• Basic living expenses during her recovery
• Support for her caregiving responsibilities
Any donation, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and help relieve the financial burden on Bitja so she can focus on healing.
If you are not able to give, please consider sharing this page with others.
