Hi my name is Penni, aunty to Ben Milford-Hall.
We're reaching out during one of the hardest times our family has ever faced. Our beloved Gentle Ben is currently fighting for his life after suffering a severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a recent tragic incident. He is in critical condition at Derriford, and is facing a long, uncertain road ahead.
The Immediate Need: Keeping Our Family Close
While Ben is in the hospital, his mother, Amy Hall , and his devoted girlfriend, Beth kellaway, are trying to stay right there by his side. Being present is crucial for his recovery, providing comfort, and making quick decisions with the medical team.
• The Problem: The hospital is far from home, and the daily costs of staying nearby are quickly becoming unsustainable.
• The Reality: They are currently paying for temporary accommodation and daily meals, which, when combined with fuel and other necessities, are draining our family's resources. We don't want to leave Ben alone, but we are struggling to manage this financial burden.
Where Your Generosity Will Go
We don't have estimate to keep Amy and beth by bens side for the critical period of goodness knows how many weeks atm. So if we can start with just a few hundred that will help immensely.
Every pound or pence donated will go directly to covering the essential, non-medical costs of being near the hospital:
• Accommodation: A safe place to rest and shower nearby so they can be at the hospital within minutes.
• Food & Water: Basic sustenance, as they have no access to a kitchen and often eat quick, expensive meals near the hospital.
• Fuel/Transportation: The cost of getting back and forth for any necessary trips and for future appointments.
We understand this is asking a lot, but this support is the only way we can keep the two most important people in bens life close as he fights this battle. We are humbled to ask for help, but we know no other way to ensure they can focus solely on him and his care, not on where the next meal or night's stay is coming from.
How You Can Help
• Donate: Any amount, no matter how small, makes a direct difference in allowing them to stay close.
• Share: If you can't donate, please share this GoFundMe link on social media and with your network. The wider this reaches, the better.
We promise to provide updates on Ben's progress and how your generosity is helping. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, prayers, and support.
With immense gratitude,
the entire Hall Family and extended family.
If he makes a miraculous recovery and heals quickly our intention with what is left will be donated to accommodation charity who help reduce cost of staying in hospital long term. Or something similar.
