Hello Friends and Family,
My name is Molly Heidemann, I am Becky Lorenzo's cousin and best friend. For those lucky enough to know Becky, also know she is a loving mother, devoted wife, caring daughter, loyal friend, and wonderful cousin. Becky is a new mother to her beautiful son Jaxson who turns 1 in March.
In 2007, Becky was diagnosed with Gallbladder disease which was removed just a few months later. This was just the beginning of her battle with health issues.
For the last 14 years, she was seen by several different specialists and spent a summer driving back and fourth from the Mayo Clinic with her mother, Dianne. She was misdiagnosed several times. As of today, they still haven’t been able to control Becky's symptoms which has led to a domino effect of other health issues. However, after additional medical testing, Becky was again diagnosed Nov. of 2020.
Over the past six months, Becky has endured 2 colonoscopies, an endoscopy and prescribed dozens of medications; none have proven beneficial for her symptoms thus far. We hope that her most recent diagnosis is accurate and her doctor can get to the root of her medical issues. She is still experiencing symptoms daily, so we are hoping with the most recent medications it will soon prove that her diagnosis is accurate.
Over the past six months, Becky and her husband Tony have accrued over $22,000 for medical expenses after insurance. The bills continue to add up weekly, and it has been extremely overwhelming for them to handle. Becky's husband, Tony, has been able to work through the pandemic, but unfortunately due to Becky’s illness, and unexpected complications with pregnancy, Becky had to take some time off to improve her health. She recently returned to work although it can be challenging most days. Between juggling life as a new mother, finding a balance from her work home life, and on going health issues, Becky has kept a brave face.
This Go Fund Me was created to help Becky, Tony and their baby. This family has been there for me, and many others during very trying times. To be honest there are no words that can really express how awesome these people are. If you are ever in trouble this family is right there to lift you back up, I am grateful to have them as my family. These times are uncertain for all due to this pandemic, but if we could all come together and help out it would lessen the financial burden and stress for the Lorenzo family. Thank you for reading this and supporting the Lorenzo family.
Please keep Becky and her family in your prayers.
We love you all!
