Help Annisa Fight — and Win — Again

Annisa is the kind of person who deserves to be blessed. She is warm, genuine, and relentlessly hardworking. If you’ve ever been served by her at Holey Moley in Santa Monica, you already know what I mean.

What you might not know is what she’s carrying. Twenty-six years ago, Annisa was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She fought it (at Stanford, with full support) and she won. She went on to build a life, work hard, and show up for the people around her every single day.

Today, she’s fighting again. Last November, after months of pain, Annisa was diagnosed with aggressive form of stage three to four vulvar cancer, that has now spread to her lymphatic system. She’s facing it with the same quiet strength she always has — still showing up to work when her body allows, still meeting people with a smile, even as she manages severe pain and fatigue that have reduced her hours to as few as 12-15 per week.

This time, the circumstances are much more of a challenge. Annisa is living on a very limited income, relying on public healthcare, and without family to lean on. She doesn’t currently have stable housing — she’s been staying in hostels while navigating treatment delays, pain management, and the everyday logistics of being seriously ill without a safety net. She hasn’t asked for help easily. That’s exactly why we’re asking on her behalf.

What your donation does:

Every dollar raised goes directly toward giving Annisa what she needs most right now: stability.

Specifically:

- Safe, stable housing so she has a real place to rest and recover

- Food and essential living expenses so she’s not choosing between eating and other needs

- Transportation and medical costs so nothing stands between her and her treatment

Annisa has survived the unsurvivable before. She has the will. What she needs now is the foundation to fight from.
