My name is Bridgett Horsman, I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of my sister Amanda Blanchet to share the news that Joseph Masterson passed away suddenly on August 28th, 2025. He was survived by his life partner Amanda and their daughter Amelia.

Joey was truly loved by so many people. He was a wonderful father, caring partner, loving brother and admired co-worker. He will always be loved, remembered and truly missed.

I'm asking for help from our friends, family and our community to help financially support my sister and their daughter through this tremendously difficult time.

Joey was the sole financial provider for their family while Amanda stayed home to take care of their daughter. Any money donated will help with a funeral/celebration of life costs, medical bills, their car payment, phone bill and help support them financially while my sister grieves and it will give her time to figure everything out with the support of her loved ones helping her.

In addition to the already very heart breaking situation that we find ourselves in, on the evening of August 29th while I was helping take care of gathering items for Amanda and Amelia at their apartment I found a very concerning large swelling/mass on their beloved cat Oilspill's left hind leg that I'm currently trying to seek urgent medical care for her to be evaluated and treated as soon as possible. Oilspill was very attached to Joey and she continues to be a very important part of their family. As you can imagine this unexpected medical situation is adding a lot of stress to their already heart breaking situation. So we are asking for help to cover these unexpected veterinary bills to get Oillspill whatever care she needs.
