Please help us rescue Penelope

Hi my beautiful wife Laura and I stumbled across a stray dog dying of hunger in the Philippines on our Honeymoon.
She could barely walk and didn't look like she would make it through the night. She was lying on a dirt road as motorbikes drive around her in the blistering sun and completely given up. We bought some tuna and sardines from the shop she was dying in front of. She looked me in the eyes and barely able to keep her head up but still managed to wiggle her tail.
We decided to try rescue her and give her a life that she has never had. We wanted her to feel love, which is something she had never received.
Since then we have taken her to the vet, bought months of medical supplies and food to help with her extreme heart worm infestation and recover from starvation.
She is kindly being looked after by the wonderful staff at Angkla Beach Resort and recovering in a new larger cage, blankets and an abundance of food.
But this solution is only temporary!
OUR GOAL: We need to get her strong enough to travel. Ideally we would love to adopt Penelope and bring her home to Australia with us. However, due to strict quarantine rules, this may not be the best option for her. We are still exploring this option.
Our other option and goal would be to organise a short flight to get Penelope to Aklan Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center located in Kalibo. If we go with this option, myself and Laura will sponsor her until her final days.
The money raised will go towards her vet medical plan to help aid her recovery. Penelope is required to visit the vet every 2 weeks for the next 3-4 months for regular vaccinations. The money will also go towards food, medicine and her eventual transport to either Australia or the Aklan animal rescue in Kalibo.
At the very least, hopefully this precious pup can live a life with love, food and wag her tail again in a safe environment. Just like the first time we met her on the road.
If there is any remaining money after she makes it to her new home, or if Penelope doesn't make it, we will donate all money to the Aklan animal rescue center in Kalibo.
