We hear so often of people taking moments of great pain or trauma and using them as fuel to come out stronger, more resilient, and successful. We live to tell the story that this sort of growth and development is possible for all of us.
Our story titled: “The 5 Days of DELTA Delays,” is a real life miniseries chronicling our journey from Florida to California for a very special July Wedding!
THE DISASTROUS EVENTS: A disruption caused by a Global IT Outage on July 19, 2024 affected the DELTA AIRLINES operation systemwide.
THE GOOD NEWS: We’re all Alive and Home, safe. We’ve reconnected with some phenomenal humans. We Learned. We Listened. We are a bit more wiser.
THE GAG: DELTA IT left thousand of passengers stranded —involving being left remote, while simultaneously navigating inconvenient locations in Atlanta.
THE DAMAGE: Bernadette, Jonathan and I are “mentally scarred" after experiencing a sequential five days of traumatic travel events in Atlanta.
THE PRAYER & HOPE: Financial Assistance for the thousands of Out-of-Pocket Expenses incurred through the DELTA IT debacle.
THE ACTION MISSION: FULL REIMBURSEMENT from DELTA AIRLINES for all of our Out-of-Pocket Expenses/Money spent to escape Atlanta safely. Ultimate gratitude to the CNN Team!! We’re elated to bring public awareness to this event, and share new found knowledge with the entire World. DELTA AIRLINES and The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport deeply failed their consumers this week. DELTA’s lackadaisical approach to the I.T. debacle can jeopardized the success of many future paying Passengers.
It’s a fact that human beings’ physiological needs for food, water, clothing, shelter, and sleep must be satisfied in order for them to address more complex needs like mental and physical health, relationships, sobriety, long-term housing, and finances.
With your gift, we will be able to replenish thousands of dollars spent on Out-of-Pocket Living Expenses during our rare five day desertion in Atlanta.
