Hi, my name is Lisa Hafertepe. My son, Steven Hafertepe was in a hit and run motorcycle accident on Sunday, May 1st. A car ran a stop sign and my son collided with the car, but they did not hesitate and kept going. This was all caught on video by a nearby security camera. Even though he was wearing his helmet he suffered multiple facial contusions, as seen in the photo, along with a broken frontal sinus cavity. Additionally, he has two lower vertebrae fractures. He will be seeing specialists for both and will be unable to work for the time being. Since he doesn’t have disability insurance to cover his normal monthly expenses, he will need some added help during his recovery, which is still unknown on how long the road will be. He has two little kids that he helps support as well. I’m not used to asking for help, but my son needs his village right now. Anyone that knows Stevie will tell you he’s the first one to help anyone else in need. I sincerely appreciate all of the well wishes and prayers that have been sent his way.
