Dear Friends and Family,
Our loved Friend, Sister, Daughter and MOM Stephanie Teele has been very sick for the last 4 months. Stephanie started having symptoms in June. By August Stephanie had seen multiple Doctors, multiple specialist and had several trips to the ER due to her symptoms and excruciating pain.
Stephanie has been unable to work as she has endured months of appointments with Doctors and Specialists, several tests, weeks of excruciating pain and no sleep. For 3 months she has been continually sent home with new meds and remedies for. a problem none of the Doctors or Specialist could diagnose. Finally, after CT Urogram and a Cystoscopy they determined Stephanie has a Prolapsed Uteras. The Diagnosis came September 19th and they are unable to do surgery until October 29th.
Stephanie is a Single Mom and Self-Employed. She has been a hair stylist for over 23 years and owns a salon in the Sun City area. Due to the pain from standing, lack of sleep and medications Stephanie has been unable to work the last month and a half. She attempts to try to work, but can only physically handle about 2 - 3 hours a day a couple days a week. She will continue to do that until her surgery on October 29th. This is a hard working woman who has worked 40 - 60 hours a week for the last 23 years. After surgery Stephanie might be able to return to work December 1st depending on how recovery goes.
In addition to being a full-time self-employed hair stylist Stephanie has a 17 year old Daughter who is a Senior in High School getting ready to head off to Howard University in August 2020 to pursue her dreams of education and playing D1 softball. Stephanie has been there for every practice, every tournament near or far and supports her daughter 100%. Due to Stephanie's illness, she was unable to go to her Daughter's official visit to Howard University, as well as already knowing she will miss some of the upcoming travel tournaments that she normally goes too. Stephanie has dedicated herself to her work and her Daughter but, this illness has taken away her ability to continue to do so.
Being Self-Employed and a Single-Mom Stephanie does not have a back-up source of income and with obvious every day expenses and medical expenses, has been forced to deplete her savings and rely on credit cards to get her through. As we all know credit cards can only get you so far and you can't pay the mortgage, rent and utilities forever with them, let alone give her Daughter the Senior year of high school she deserves.
We are pushing to raise money right away to assist Stephanie with the continually mounting medical expenses and basic day to day living expenses. We would love to raise as much as we can so every little bit helps. Ideally if we could raise around $10,000 to cover 4 months of living expenses and medical expenses that would be incredible and truly save Stephanie and her Daughter.
Anything you can donate is a true gift and greatly appreciated!
