Hello Everyone it’s Spencer. I’m a 15 year old Conservationist, Environmental Educator & award-winning Nature Photographer.

Earlier this year it was absolutely amazing to see all the incredible people who supported me to get to Perth for the Great Black-Cockatoo Release where I was a youth ambassador. I am so thankful to everyone for their support. I wouldn’t have been able to get there without you.

Now I have some more incredible news because I have been invited to Cairns for the first time ever, to present at the National Outdoor Education Conference! I will be the youngest presenter (and only presenter under 18yo) at the conference which is amazing!

There will be over 300 attendees at the conference coming from all states of Australia and 10 countries around the world!!

To have this opportunity to represent my generation and beyond at a conference full of teachers and educators, and be able to speak to them on behalf of my generation, is so important for the youth and nature.

Teachers and educators play such an important role in the future of the environment and the youth.

I am presenting on my work creating World Stand UP 4 Nature Day and inspiring others to love and protect nature and also representing the youth of the Sunshine Coast, presenting with the team on the Kids in Action Research Project: Children and Custodian Conversations on Country.

WHY I NEED HELP

I feel this is a really amazing opportunity to represent the youth at this amazing conference and also to take you all with me to Cairns and possibly showcase conservation in Far North Queensland.

Unfortunately I can’t present online as part of the conference and I will have to cancel from presenting if I can’t get the funds to get there.

I didn’t want to have to ask everyone for help again but this is a last resort for me to be able to present in Cairns.

So to get there I really need everyone’s help and in return I will bring you all on this amazing journey through my eyes, lens and presenting!

WHERE THE FUNDS GO:

The funds raised will go towards expenses of my travel to Cairns with my parents and our stay for the short time we are there. This includes flights, accommodation and potentially a hire car.

Any funds over what we need will go towards any other conservation journey travels as I raise awareness of important habitats & share my conservation message with more and more people across Australia and globally.

If you know any businesses or hotels, airlines, etc who might be willing to support me to get to Cairns as well that would be so incredible!
