please help SpaceCat (& Laundry) & Jacqs &Hil

If you know me or you're fans of my wonderful cats, you'll know it's been a rough year. SpaceCat already went to the vet for her asthma and shots, and Flossie had a cancerous tumor removed. Within the last couple of weeks, SpaceCat has given up entirely on her hygiene. I'm afraid she has an infection. Last time she stopped practicing hygiene and wouldn't let anyone else care for her hygiene needs, she was being abused by a roommate. That's not the case now, but trying to care for her hygiene needs (especially as a disabled person) is extremely difficult and brings back traumatic memories of my own of that time with that roommate.

Well, when it rains it pours. Yesterday we noticed that Laundry has an irritated bald spot on her paw. I suspect overgrooming, but I think she should go to the vet to be sure. On closer inspection (when putting chlorhexidine on the spot), it looks like Laundry has a badly ingrown back claw or may have stepped on some glass (she loves to knock things over, so this is very possible). I have to take the her to the vet for this. I can't even trim my own nails with my arthritis and Jacqs always manages to get my skin when she tries (sorry, babe, it's true).

Jacqlyn and I are both down with colds and our bank balance is literally in the negative. We're selling all we can to try and fix this, Jacqs' guitar pedals and cameras, my camera and board games. It gets harder every day as bills and bank fees stack up. We're both disabled and living on my SSDI, which is unsustainable. We're doing our best and get daily reminders it's not good enough. I also have to repay my siblings for a flight to visit them that I had to cancel for medical reasons. IT IS ALL SO MUCH!  Capitalism is killing us & has decided to make our pets it's first victims.
