This is a personal plea, so please, please, please read.

I need to ask for everyone’s help in saving my brother David’s dog, Buddy. He has no idea that I’m doing this fundraiser, but Buddy critically needs emergency surgery right now and the cost is $3,800, and those funds simply aren’t available at this moment.

Dave has never asked anyone for a thing in his life. He has always helped others in need, from animals that were hungry, or injured on the side of the road, to helping homeless people, all across the states when he was truckin’. He’ll actually be traveling back and forth to CT to help care for our mother, who has dementia..he always promised her he'd never leave her in a nursing home. Buddy could never be left behind when he travels, they’re NEVER apart..that dog won't leave his side for a minute and without this surgery, he won’t survive much longer. I truly know how much Buddy means to him..he rescued him after he had his trucking accident and was no longer able to work. This dog has been his savior, his companion, loyal, loving..his "Buddy". He needs this now, but as we all know to well...if the funds aren't there, the vets don't care.

When we spoke on the phone yesterday, I could hear the fear in his voice..losing his right hand man. Yup, it broke my heart..I have to help. We all know that gut wrenching ache of losing a pet, a huge part of the family. Losing Linda this summer took a piece of me I’ll never get back . It changed me forever. I don't wish that kind of pain on anyone who that same love for their pet.

Again, David has no idea that I am doing this fundraiser (he would kill me), but I just can't sit back and allow Buddy to suffer and die on him. With a little help from everyone, his life will be saved. I know David would be FOREVER grateful to all of you, (as would I).
