Skybo 2019-2022

Our beloved Skybo is in the hospital for a dangerous and fatal condition. He needs extensive care and a corrective surgery. We are heartbroken over the pain he was in, and with worry that we won't be able to provide the necessary care for him.

Skybo is currently in the hospital for the first phase of care, which is unblocking his urethra and opening it up for normal operation, plus tests to determine if there was any permanent organ damage. The next phase will be performing a surgery to correct anatomy issues that cause this blockage.

Would you please consider helping us secure the necessary funds to bring him home safe? If you know me, you know that THIS IS NOT EASY FOR ME TO ASK... but Im doing it for my kids... and for our kitty.

SKYBO'S STORY - Skybo is a VERY special little kitty to us. He joined our family in August of 2019. My two sons and I had traveled to Texas, from Michigan, because my father was in the hospital. My father, who I was insanely close to, passed away the day after we arrived. Devastated and shell shocked, me and my sons stayed on at a rural, lakefront home to process the event. I knew that my dad would appear to me in some sort of spirit animal. I imagined a huge alligator crossing the road, or perhaps a majestic stag would be seen in a field. Exactly 24 hours after his passing, I was on my phone, in the middle of the road (only place to get cell service!) and I felt a brush on my ankle. I looked down and there was this little teeny grey kitty sitting on my foot. He looked up at me like we had known each other my whole life. This was it. My sign that my daddy was ok. I took him into the house and gave him some bacon... which he devoured. We gave him a twinkie, which he also devoured. He was so natural and comfortable.. we brought him home with us. Like a true Dietz, Skybo loved the 2 day drive home. He has been my cool, but loving little companion ever since. *PS "Skybo" was my grandmother's nickname for my father.

My Story - I am a very single mother, working full time, raising my two amazing teenage sons, maintaining our home, and attending university to earn my masters. Due to the deaths of my parents and Covid, it has been a truly difficult couple of years; emotionally and financially. It is very difficult for me to ask for help (not something I do often), but we have been through so much, we are not ready to say goodbye to our little spirit animal. Because of everything else that is going on right now.. the funds just arent there.

If you can help, I will be truly appreciative and will find some way to personally show my gratitude to you. Any amount will help. Five dollars. If I have ever done you a favor, or helped you in time of need, please consider reciprocating. I really need it now.

Thank you for reading and thank you so much for your help. <3
