Hello, I'm Sonya. I'm a single mom of 2. For the last couple years I had been experiencing headaches and blurry vision and thought it was due to stress. On Friday April 19, 2024 I went to the hospital after waking up with severe swelling to my face, congestion and headache. A CT Scan revealed a Tumor the size of a walnut in between my pituitary gland and optic nerves. The blurry vision turned out to be blindness due to the pressure. I had surgery on Monday April 22, 2024. Unfortunately they weren't able to remove the whole tumor due to its location and high risk of causing complete blindness. I will need to start Radiation Therapy once I'm fully healed. I was also diagnosed with Osteoarthritis and beginning stages of Lupus almost two weeks before. I will be limited to financial resources and therefore asking for help. I have never asked anyone for help never the less start a fundraiser. Unfortunately, this time I am in a different situation. Please help my family and I through this sudden unfortunate emergency situation. I will soon be seeing many Doctors in Oncology, Rheumatologist, Behavioral Health, Pain Management, Occupational Therapist, Radiation Therapy, along with expensive procedures such as MRI's, CT scans, blood work, etc and not working will be very difficult.
