Please help Sherlock go to training

If there was ever a dog who needed a friend, it’s SHERLOCK. He was happy once. But as the days turned into weeks, & the weeks turned into months…the loneliness of shelter living has become too much for him to bear. He now sits in his kennel gazing up & crying softly.

When I first met SHERLOCK, he was my favorite dog to walk. His name was Herman then. Sherlock was a nickname that stuck because nothing got past him. He was Alert & liked to Investigate! He still does. SHERLOCK’s an Intelligent guy. He’s Quiet & Great Company… the type who likes to lay at your feet. He’s Loyal, Listens, & Wants to Follow… so he is at his best with a strong Leader.

Sadly, with no one to love & no one to love him, SHERLOCK has no purpose & he is in distress.

Several volunteers at Manatee County Animal Welfare want to help him. We want to send him to an 8wk board & train program as our gift to him..to give him his life back. We still need a committed Long Term Foster or Adopter in place, a place for him to go after his training is complete.
