On July 14 Shelley had bariatric bypass surgery to help her with reducing the severity of her diabetes. After the procedure when she was home recovering she felt something wasn’t right so she went back to the hospital where the had to perform surgery again and found that she had developed an infection.
She was transferred from Wilson Health in Sidney to MVH here in Dayton where she has been in ICU for the past 3 weeks most of which has been spent in a medically induced coma until she’s well enough to be operated on for the 3rd time.
She was supposed to start a supervisory nursing position at Wilson which is now delayed indefinitely.
Shelley was only working casual at the hospital at the time of her surgery and doesn’t qualify for unemployment benefits since she obviously isn’t fit to work.
She has 2 kids that are in college and a middle schooler that lives with us in Miamisburg.
For those who don’t know Shelley, she is genuinely the most giving, thoughtful and unselfish person I’ve ever met in my life and I’m very honored to be her boyfriend.
I know things are very tight for everyone and some of us are unemployed due to COVID.
If you could please donate whatever you can to keep her kids in school and help with the medical bills which are going to be astronomical itwould be greatly appreciated!!!
Thanks!!!
Doug
